Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 April 2026
These terms govern your use of buildmetriclab.com (the "Site"),
operated by Brightscale Labs Limited ("we", "us"). By accessing
the Site you agree to these terms.
1. Using the Site
- The Site and its calculators are offered free of charge for personal
and professional use.
- You may not attempt to scrape the Site at scale, reverse-engineer the
calculators, or republish them as your own.
- Embeds are permitted via the official embed links only; iframe
attribution must remain intact.
2. Not professional advice
Calculator output is informational and educational only. It does
not constitute professional engineering, architectural,
construction, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical advice, and is not
a substitute for a permit, an inspection, a stamped plan, or a
licensed contractor's quote. See our
Disclaimer for the full statement.
3. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIGHTSCALE LABS LIMITED, ITS
DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES,
OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR
RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE — INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION)
LOSSES ARISING FROM OVER-ORDERING OR UNDER-ORDERING MATERIALS,
PROJECT DELAYS, REWORK, REGULATORY PENALTIES, OR FAILED INSPECTIONS.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE
WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). Some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so this limitation may not apply to you in full.
4. Content accuracy
We work to keep formulas and assumptions accurate and up to date.
Prices, rates, and code references can change. If you spot an error,
email [email protected].
5. Third-party links and affiliate disclosure
Some outgoing links to suppliers or merchants are affiliate links —
we may earn a small commission if you purchase, at no extra cost to
you. Affiliate relationships do not influence calculator output. This
disclosure is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade
Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 Endorsement Guides.
6. DMCA / copyright
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a
DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to
[email protected] with the elements required by the
statute (identification of the work, identification of the
infringing material, contact information, a good-faith statement, a
statement under penalty of perjury, and your physical or electronic
signature).
7. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales without
regard to conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent any dispute is not
required to be resolved in your home state under applicable consumer
law, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
English courts. Nothing in this section limits your rights under
applicable US consumer-protection law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is
always posted at this URL. Continued use of the Site after changes
constitutes acceptance.
