Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 April 2026
BuildMetricLab is operated by Brightscale Labs Limited, a company
registered in England & Wales (United Kingdom). This Privacy Policy
explains how we handle information for visitors located in the
United States, including the rights of California residents under the
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the
California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
What we collect
- Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into calculators are
processed locally in your browser. They are not transmitted to
our servers, logged, or stored on our end.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We record a per-page ping containing
page path, approximate device type (mobile/desktop), and referrer
hostname. This contains no cookies, no IP addresses, and no
information that can identify you personally. It is not sold, shared
for cross-context behavioral advertising, or combined with any other
data set.
- Voluntary feedback. If you submit feedback through the site, we
store the message plus any contact email you choose to provide so
that we can reply. You can request deletion at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context
behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12
months and have no plans to start.
- We do not share your calculator inputs with anyone.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
International data transfer
Because Brightscale Labs Limited operates from the United Kingdom,
any voluntary feedback you send may be processed on servers located
in the UK or European Economic Area. By contacting us you consent to
this transfer. We do not need to transfer the anonymous analytics
ping anywhere — there is no personal data inside it.
Your rights under California law (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect about
you and how we use it.
- Access the specific pieces of personal information we hold
about you.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to
limited statutory exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Limit the use of any "sensitive personal information" we hold
(we collect none).
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for
cross-context behavioral advertising. **We do not sell or share
personal information**, so there is nothing to opt out of, and you
will not see a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"
link — none is required.
- Non-discrimination. You will not receive different service for
exercising any of these rights.
You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your
behalf.
Your rights under other US state privacy laws
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including
Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA),
Texas (TDPSA), Oregon, Montana, and others as those laws come into
effect — generally have access, correction, deletion, portability,
and opt-out rights similar to CCPA. Contact us using the address
below to exercise any of them.
How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] from the address you would
like us to verify against. We respond to verifiable consumer
requests within 45 days as required by California law (extendable by
a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice).
Retention
We retain feedback messages only as long as needed to respond and
maintain a basic service-quality record (typically 24 months), then
delete them. The anonymous analytics ping is retained in aggregate
form only.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices change. The "Last
updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
