Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
BuildMetricLab is operated by Brightscale Labs Limited
(registered in England & Wales). We take your privacy seriously and
process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data
Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs: the numbers you type into calculators are
processed locally in your browser. They are not transmitted to
our servers or stored on our end.
- Anonymous usage analytics (no cookies): when a calculator is used
we record an anonymous event containing the tool, the inputs and
result, approximate country/region and device type (from network
headers). It contains no cookies, no IP addresses, and no information
that can identify you personally.
- Optional analytics — Microsoft Clarity: if you accept analytics in
the cookie banner, we load Microsoft Clarity, which records aggregated
heatmaps and anonymised session replays to help us improve the tools.
Input fields are masked, so the values you type are not captured.
Clarity runs only with your consent and you can withdraw it by
clearing site data. See our Cookie Policy for the cookies it sets.
- Voluntary feedback: if you submit feedback through the site, we
store the message plus any contact email you choose to provide, to
reply to you. You can request deletion at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not set advertising cookies; we set analytics cookies only
if you accept them.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
- We do not share your calculator inputs with anyone.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
Who processes your data
- Microsoft (Clarity) — heatmaps and session replay, only after you
consent. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and the worker that records
the anonymous, cookieless usage events described above.
Legal basis
The anonymous, cookieless usage analytics rely on our **legitimate
interest** in understanding site usage to improve the tools. Microsoft
Clarity relies on your consent (pressing Accept in the cookie banner).
Feedback correspondence relies on your consent (pressing Send).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion
of any personal data we hold about you, and object to processing.
Contact: [email protected].
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you may complain to
the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
